LBA Chief Speaks, Presents New Award, at Mexico Conference

September 4, 2002(Greenville, NC) – Lawrence Behr, CEO of the LBA Group, Inc., presented a short course at the recent International Convention on Broadcasting “AMITRA 2002” in Acapulco, Mexico. The topic Mr. Behr presented was “A Radio Engineers Perspective on Wireless Sites”.
Mr. Behr, a well-known expert in the field of wireless communications, provided a continuing education experience on cell tower and rooftop site issues affecting the deployment of cellular, broadband wireless data and Internet services.
Mr. Behr also made the first presentation of the newly established AMITRA Engineer of the Year Award, funded by LBA Technology, Inc. The awardee, chosen by AMITRA, was Jorge Garcia Rangel of Grupo Radio Mil. The award conferred on Engineer Rangel consisted of a monetary recognition and continuing education scholarship. AMITRA is the Mexican professional organization of engineers in broadcasting and communications.
Commenting on the new award, Mr. Behr said, “Both personally and through LBA, we believe strongly in professional development, and are happy to provide these resources to present additional opportunities to the Mexican radio engineering community”.
