IBOC and DRM Actives at the NAB. The Beginning of HD Radio Transmissions in Mexico was Announced.
During the second day of the NAB it was announced that stations of Grupo Radio Imagen, Instituto Mexicano de la Radio and Univesidad Iberomericana started transmitting using the digital radio technology of HD Radio. Among the participants in the event were Bob Struble, President and CEO of Ibiquity, Luis Fernando Borjon Director for Radio and TV of the Mexican Federal Communications Commission, Jose Molina of Grupo Imagen, Miguel Fernandez of Imer. John Schneider was the MC and interpreter.
Previous to this event there was a presentation at Nautel Stand on DRM showing that Nautel supports the DRM format and the IBOC format.
Recently LBA Technology shipped 6 antenna tuning units of 20 kW ready to work with the DRM format and our antenna systems and tuning units can handle either DRM or IBOC.
