Isocoupler Alternatives

Cost effective AM/wireless colocation solutions!

AM CoLoPole™ RF Isocoupler for Colocation

CoLoPole™ RF Isocoupler

The patented CoLoPole™ RF Isocoupler frequently is the cost-effective solution for single AM towers. This type of isocoupler permits direct grounding of the AM tower for seamless coax installation and superior lightning protection. As a bonus, the CoLoPole™ collocation system also has the AM performance enhancing properties of LBA’s Tunipole™ folded unipole technology, proven in use at hundreds of AM radio stations worldwide.

AM CoLoCoil™ AM Isocoupler for Colocation

CoLoCoil™ AM Isocoupler

The CoLoCoil™ AM Isocoupler is particularly effective for isolating multiple coaxial cables on directional antenna systems. It features a unique patent-pending modular configuration that allows the rapid addition of multiple coaxial cables.  New antennas can be accommodated at any time without system redesign.

For isolation of FM translators, studio translator links, and other simple single coax AM isolation, the CAMI microwave isocoupler is available.  In wireless AM collocations, the CAMI microwave isocoupler is an effective soloution for isloating antenna positioning DC control lines.

A Quick Look at Isocoupler use in AM Collocation

LBA Technology colocation systems help resolve the critical requirement for wireless antenna space by making thousands of previously unuseable AM broadcast towers available for antenna mounting. Frequently in highly desirable urban locations, AM towers are often easier to zone for antenna colocation than new tower construction. Before LBA CoLoPole™ RF isocoupler and CoLoCoil™ am isocoupler systems, the installation of wireless antennas on AM towers was often prohibited by system designers because AM towers are "hot" with RF energy, leading to a history of unsafe and unreliable co-locations.

However, with a properly designed and installed LBA colocation system, wireless antenna and coaxial cable installations have virtually no effect on host AM towers, and the "hot" AM signal has no effect on the wireless antenna system.

LBA Technology isocoupler alternative systems are suitable for 3G, PCS, Cellular, ESMR, fixed wireless and all other communications services. Virtually unlimited antennas and lines can be collocated, at any power or frequency, with no added loss or VSWR problems.

LBA Technology can furnish complete hardware solutions for using AM towers as support for a wide variety of wireless antennas. Our proven isocoupler alternatives are cost-effective and fully preserve the functions of the AM station while permitting virtually limitless mounting of wireless antennas and coax lines.

Prior FCC approval is not required for CoLoPole™ or CoLoCoil™ co-location installations. The AM station files FCC Form 302 after construction to report the resultant operating parameters. LBA field engineers normally provide adjustment and measurement services to certify proper AM operation.
