RF Insulators |
|
Feedthrough and standoff insulators are typically used to mount and isolate components from the cabinetry of transmitters, antenna tuning units and other transmitting system components. Mechanical stresses from heavy components and electrical stresses from high RF voltages are typical operating realities. Tower and antenna insulators are used in low and medium wave systems to isolate tower bases from ground, and to isolate structural guy wire systems from the RF energy of the tower and its environment. They are often critical structural components and are frequently subject to severe electrical stress from lightning, as well temperature and other environmental factors.
