LBA Technology "Blue Line" RF inductors are based
on over 30 years of proven international performance. Blue Line inductors are unsurpassed
for hi-Q, stability, and low RF losses. These inductors are manufactured from heavy silver
plated copper conductors and brass fittings, treated to resist tarnishing. Windings are
insulated with melamine or G-1 0 epoxy laminates. These materials are recognized for their
exceptional RF qualities, arc resistance, mechanical strength, and low moisture
absorption. Supporting frames are engineered to permit maximum access to windings for
convenience in adjustment. The metallic frames are separated by insulators to prevent
induced current flow.
Variable inductors are fabricated with heavy-duty plated brass rotors. Contact with the
inductor winding is via a spring-loaded roller, and current take-off from the rotor is
through spring wiper contacts. This design minimizes contact losses, and maximizes
stability of adjustments.
A full line of clips are available for tapping Blue Line inductors. Clips for current
ratings from 7 to 20 amps are fabricated of tin plated spring metal and are designed for
"push on" installation. Clips for 30 amp and larger inductors are machined in
silver plated brass, and are in the form of screw adjusted split clamps for maximum
contact area.
Blue Line inductors are made in standard sizes with current ratings from 7 amps to 150
amps. Standard inductances range from 5 uH to 150 uH. Other values may be furnished on a
custom basis. The tables below depict standard values and characteristics.
