Technology, Inc. is now shipping its new Model HFRC shortwave antennas,
representing the first deployments of a new generation of regional service
shortwave antennas. These antennas are being installed in Guatemala, Venezuela
and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The
HFRC antenna is engineered for broadcast and communications service out to 700
KM. The proprietary design provides both groundwave and skywave transmission.
Rated to 50,000 watts, the HFRC antenna covers the 3 to 12 MHz band in three
broadband, adjustable models.
Designed for rapid installation, the HFRC is field
adaptable for permanent or temporary installation. When temporarily installed,
HFRC antennas also feature rapid readjustment to new frequencies. These
features make the HFRC ideal for emergency and military applications where
portability and frequency agility are important considerations.
A unique feature of the HFRC antenna is the ability
to integrate other antennas, such as VHF communications, FM repeater, and
wireless data without special isolation from the shortwave transmissions. This
enables a completely self-contained transportable broadcast site.
The
HFRC regional service shortwave antenna is another in a family of LBA products
and services targeted to the international broadcast and communications
industry. The LBA Group has over 35 years experience in providing
telecommunication support for infrastructure assets of the wireless
telecommunications industry. Its LBA Technology unit is a leading international
supplier of antenna equipment for radio broadcast stations, as well as leading
edge solutions for broadcast/wireless transmission colocation. The LBA Group is
based in Greenville, North Carolina.
