LBA University OHS Course Descriptions
ADC1005: FCC AM Detuning Compliance
Signals from AM broadcast stations will induce electrical current in nearby tall metallic structures. Towers that support wireless antennas are typically of a height that makes them efficient “antennas” to receive AM frequencies. The induced current in those towers causes the AM frequency to be reradiated into the electromagnetic environment. AM broadcast stations’ Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licenses specify the maximum signal level that is allowed. The additional signal level from a reradiating tower may cause the cumulative signal level to exceed the licensed value; thereby placing the AM station licensee in jeopardy of being cited for a violation by the FCC. In addition hazards of RF exposure exist with Detuned towers.
OSHA 10C, OSHA 30C: OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Construction Classes.
This OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility.
LOTO 101: Lockout / Tag Out
The OSHA standard outlines measures for controlling hazardous energies—electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, thermal, and other energy sources. Whether you are a recent hire or an experienced employee, this program will expand your knowledge of the Lockout/Tag out (LOTO) standard.
FALL 102: Fall Protection
Falls are among the most common causes of serious work related injuries and deaths. Falls can be prevented when workers understand proper set-up and safe use of equipment, so they need training on the specific equipment they will use to complete the job.
EAP 103: Emergency Action Plans
Well-developed emergency plans and proper employee training (such that employees understand their roles and responsibilities within the plan) will result in fewer and less severe employee injuries and less structural damage to the facility during emergencies.
FEXT 104: Fire Extinguisher Training
Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace, the employer shall also provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting.

MSDS 124: MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheets
The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200(g)), revised in 2012, requires that the chemical manufacturer, distributor, or importer provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (formerly MSDSs or Material Safety Data Sheets) for each hazardous chemical to downstream users to communicate information on these hazards.
GHS 1006: GHS - Global Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals
The GHS is designed to streamline the hazard assessment, labeling, and hazard communication requirements within and between the countries that adopt it by promoting common, consistent criteria for classifying chemicals according to their health, physical and environmental hazards, and to develop compatible labeling, material safety data sheets (MSDS's) and other information based on those classifications.
CSE 109: Confined Space
Entry Many workplaces contain spaces that are considered "confined" because their configurations hinder the activities of employees who must enter, work in, and exit them. Confined space hazards are addressed in specific standards for the general industry and shipyard employment. Confined space hazards are addressed in specific standards for the construction industry.

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is one of the most important items of personal protective equipment used by trained individuals in IDLH locations. They are used at hazardous materials and confined spaces where there is a threat of toxic fumes or an oxygen-deficient atmosphere. SCBA will not provide adequate protection in some situations, and may be subject to catastrophic failure.
