Markets Feasibility Studies

• Use population data and desired target market type to determine feasible markets; prepare preliminary system design, coverage maps and budgets.

Transmitter Site Selection and Acquisition

• Based upon terrain, population distribution, highway layout and federal and aeronautical regulations, determine optimum transmitter site areas.
• Visit site areas. Determine zoning and environmental concerns. Identify suitable properties and negotiate with property owners. Identify sites accurately for engineering studies. Follow up to obtain signed lease options. Prepare filings for aeronautical clearance. Prepare coverage map of overall system for marketing and design purposes.

Transmission System Design

• Assess and recommend use of unlicensed or licensed spectrum and bandwidth availability.
• Prepare system design using available transmit and receive equipment and backhaul equipment.

Regulatory Application Preparation

• If licensed spectrum is selected, perform interference studies for desired bandwidth. Do final preparation of technical statement, including terrain showings where necessary. Coordinate and prepare technical portions of FCC forms, with necessary attachments, for FCC or other regulatory filing. For unlicensed spectrum, perform site surveys to determine interference and operating channels.

Equipment Selection

• Assess technology choices currently available from vendors. Recommendations and advise regarding technology and vendor selection options.
• Prepare RFQ for system procurement.
• Adjudicate RFQ and contract process.
