|
Greenville, NC February 25, 2010 – LBA Technology has been formally recognized by The Pitt County Development Commission for “35 years of contributing to the success of our community.” The commission thus acknowledged the company’s active presence in the Greenville area as well as its enduring influence in the international telecommunications community. “We want to thank Pitt County for this. We believe the toughest times are behind us and we look forward to growth with all the other local industries” says Jerry Brown, president of the Greenville company, along with Lawrence Behr, LBA Group, Inc. chief executive officer, accepted the commission’s certificate of recognition Feb. 23 at a reception at Rock Springs Center in Rock Springs, NC. Brown oversees day-to-day operations of LBA Technology, an LBA Group company. It was formed in 1975 and became a leading manufacturer and integrator of radio frequency systems, components and test equipment for broadcast, industrial and government users worldwide. The company’s projects subsequently have touched every continent and, in 2009, LBA Technology became the exclusive distributor in the western hemisphere of precision products from German RF equipment manufacturer Kathrein Group. The Greenville company’s roots actually date to 1963 when Behr began to engineer solutions to technical challenges in RF and wireless applications and communications. His consulting firm, Lawrence Behr Associates, Inc., supported the infrastructure needs of broadcast and wireless communications companies along the East Coast. Also present for the commission’s reception were LBA Group chief financial officer Wayne Hildebrandt and Group marketing director Dick Hansson. Company offices are at 3400 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC.
